WEINIG HOLZ-HER Canada readies new Ontario location.
WEINIG HOLZ-HER Canada (WHHCA), a leader in solid wood and panel processing solutions, recently announced a strategic shift to its sales approach in Ontario.
The company has transitioned from a dealership sales model to a direct sales approach. This change is designed to provide customers with direct access to the manufacturer, ensuring a more seamless and efficient purchasing process.
“This shift will enhance WHHCA’s presence in Ontario and allow us to address the diverse needs of our customers more effectively,” says Ken Ellston, director sales and service Canada.
“By adopting a direct sales model we are able to offer greater flexibility and increased transparency throughout the selling process and our customers will benefit from direct access to sales, just like they do now for parts, service, and support, creating a more integrated and responsive customer experience.”
Located at 210 Brunel Road (Unit 4) in Mississauga, the 9,000 sq. ft. facility will be WHHC’s new home in Ontario.
“And we will maintain our offices and showroom in Laval, Quebec,” Ellston says.
“We now have two showrooms in Canada, and sales and service technicians located strategically around the country, including British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. Wherever you are and whenever you need it, support and service is available.”
Ellston says it’s all hands on deck right now as the team is hard at work setting up the new facility and getting it ready for the grand opening, which will coincide with the Canadian Woodworking Machinery Distributors Association’s (CWMDA) Woodworking Technology Days Oct. 22-25.
“It’s going to be a great event. We’ll be celebrating our grand opening and will have over a dozen machines under power and ready for demonstrations for WTD,” says Ellston.
“And as we grow and expand and become a meeting point and demonstration facility, customers can come to us directly, rather than have to go to another customer’s shop to see our machines in action. We will also be able to run customer’s samples to show them directly how they can benefit from our technology and expertise.
Ellston says it’s a big investment, and they plan to continue to build their sales and support network in Ontario and throughout the country.
“Our new facility is in a great location, we’re only 10 minutes from the airport and we are close to other manufacturers and really, the heart of the industry in Ontario. It makes it easy for customers to visit us in this central location,” he adds.
“We want to offer customers more and this is the place to come and see the latest technology we have to offer in action.
Ellston says: “Buying a machine is not just a purchase, you are entering into a partnership. With the direct sales model, we can engage with our production partners starting right from the selling process and now we’ll have another facility to do it."
