Mereen-Johnson, a leading Minneapolis-based manufacturer of woodworking machinery and automation systems, has announced the promotion of Tony Sutton to president.
Paul Wilmes will continue in his role as CEO, steering the strategic direction of the company as it enhances its executive team to support its growing operations.
“Tony will focus on advancing our Mereen-Johnson and Diehl Machines product lines, specializing in both standard and custom equipment,” says Wilmes.
“This strategic move enables me to concentrate more on the dynamic growth of our automation and robotics division, ensuring we remain at the forefront of technological advancements.”
Sutton brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record from his nine-year tenure at Mereen-Johnson. His roles have spanned various leadership capacities, showcasing his versatility and commitment to the company's success. He has previously worked as Sr. VP, VP sales and marketing, VP manufacturing as well as parts and service manager and marketing manager and special projects coordinator.
