Jacob Roorda
The industry is mourning the passing of Jacob Roorda at age 64, who died peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023 surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Jake began his sales career with Royce//Ayr cutting tools in September 1997, and served the wood industry for more than 20 years.
His kindness and dedication to customer service allowed him to develop many professional and personal relationships, which lasted beyond his sales career.
Jake served on the Conestoga College PAC committee for many years and helped guide policy for students in Ontario.
Later in his career, Jake took on a teaching role and helped others learn the woodworking industry and start their own sales careers.
Jake will be missed and remembered fondly by all this co-workers and partners in the industry.
