The Canadian Woodworking Machinery Distributors Association (CWMDA) enters the final stretch in preparation for the third edition of its Woodworking Technology Days event that will run for five days Oct. 18-22. If you did not have a chance to travel to IWF in Atlanta, the fact is that the WTD is the only major and national machinery show this year for the Canadian industry.
The event focuses on the latest solutions and technologies including advanced software and high-performance tooling. Also watch for the soon-to-be released WTD machinery showcase, which will give you a first glance at the level of equipment that will be on display.
Registration is now open and easily done by visiting the WTD website: www.woodworkingtechnologydays.com
There isn’t another show or single event in Canada this year that offers as much as WTD.
Murat Dogan, president of IMA-Schelling Canada and also president of the CWMMA, says association members have eight showrooms located within a 15-45 minute drive from one another, and since every member had an open house at sometime throughout the year, they decided four years ago to combine those events into one.
“Having our open houses during the same week, gives manufacturers of the Canadian woodworking industry a chance to efficiently open-house hop.”
Dogan says members agreed and the resulting Woodworking Technology Days have been a big success, despite the challenges presented by past COVID-19 restrictions.
“This will be our third such event, and definitely a unique one for North America,” Dogan says.
“And we're looking forward to once again meet our customers and industry partners live and in person.”
Last year’s event attracted visitors from across the country and with most restrictions lifted, this one promises to be even bigger and better.
