Peter Mate has bought Rob Pawluk’s share in Planit Canada because his partner wants to retire from business to spend more time with his family and travel.
“A good business partner is hard to come by,” Mate says. “And it’s even harder is to find someone who fills the role of an awesome professional partner as well as a mentor to you in life, kids, relationships and every other curve ball that gets thrown at us.
“I’m proud to have had the opportunity to work side-by-side with Rob Pawluk and to benefit from his guidance. Planit Canada would never be where it is if I wasn’t for Rob’s contributions. Rob and I have reached an agreement that will allow him to take a couple of steps back and relax a little more.”

Mate says one of the most important lessons Pawluk taught him is that there will always be work waiting. It never ends and it is crucial to take the time with your kids and grandkids, because they grow up very fast.
“His advice has hit home so much for me that the guiding principle of Planit Canada has since become to help our customers live better balanced lives,” Mate says.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge of guiding Planit Canada on my own, but I know whom to call if I ever need an ear to listen. Thank you, Rob, for the impact you’ve had on my personal and professional life. I wish I could one day pass that on.”
